Following are links to national and international organisations that are involved in setting and monitoring standards for seafood safety.
NZFSA
New Zealand Food Safety Authority was set up to protect and promote public health and safety and facilitate access to markets for New Zealand food and food related products. NZFSA brings together the food related functions from both the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Health into a single integrated agency.FSANZ
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand protects the health and safety of the people in Australia and New Zealand by maintaining a safe food supply. The Food Standards Code is downloadable from this site, and there is also food nutrient composition data available.FSIS
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is the public health agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture responsible for ensuring that the U.S.' commercial supply of food products is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged.
HACCP
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point describes the regulations for Seafood by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.
IAFI
International Association of Fish Inspectors promotes the exchange of ideas and information among individuals, organizations and governments in fish inspection research and education.
