Fisheries Science Seminar 2010

New Zealand is ranked highly in several recent academic studies that have reviewed the effectiveness of fisheries management systems applied in the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) of different countries.

A Fisheries Science Lunch Seminar was held on 2 March 2010 at Seafood Industry House.  This aimed to provide scientists, managers, and policy analysts involved in New Zealand's fisheries with an opportunity to review the methods and results of these studies, identify why New Zealand has performed well, and discuss ongoing research that aims to assess the ecosystem level effects of fishing.

Presentations from the seminar may include unpublished research results, so please contact the author if you wish to cite a presentation.
