EECA Energy Intensive Business Grants
Cash grants are available from EECA for businesses that are prepared to take the first step towards implementing energy efficient technologies. Grants of up to 40% of the capital cost of the project are available, to a maximum of $100,000 for a single grant.
The technologies should be capable of reducing the energy intensity of an organization's operation, have the potential to be applied to a majority of firms in their industry sector, be commercially available and offer an acceptable payback period. Businesses must be willing for their project to be used as a publicized case study.
Energy efficient technologies may include for example, new trawl materials, net designs, door technologies, monitoring systems etc. and also the use of renewable or waste product fuels.
