Export Statistics
Detailed seafood export statistics are available from the New Zealand Seafood Industry Council through a subscription and as single, customised reports.

Subscription Service
Reports are published to our website as PDFs monthly and a range of report options are offered, providing the volume and value of exports by species, product form and market destination. Subscribers are assigned a password to access the reports through this website. Prices are given in New Zealand dollars. Access is given to the latest month's figures plus several previous months.
These are official export figures prepared by the New Zealand Seafood Industry Council from information collected by NZ Customs and supplied by Statistics New Zealand. We get the figures approximately 2 months after calendar date (e.g. April figures are received in June). Subscribers are notified by email when new statistics are available.
The first monthly set of figures we receive from Statistics New Zealand are provisional only and subject to finalisation. Figures towards the end of months may contain some variations. Final figures are received every three months, and numbers can change as a result.

These provide volume and values of specific export species or products to specific countries for a given period (calendar year or fishing year).
